december daily 2025

December Daily is a monthly challenge in the journaling community, 31 days of prompts, ideas and inspiration to help encourage us to slow down and capture the moment in what is often the busiest month.

I’m not a fan of Christmas, I’ll admit it. I don’t have a faith and years of working in retail over the holidays has shown me the sometimes mercenary and hard side of people at Christmas who take their frustrations out on shop workers. Such a lot of stress, pressure and money goes into one day, and it’s all over by 11am and then its over eating and tv – we refer to it as Sunday with presents.

However, trying to remain creative and inspired in the dark December days in the run up to the festive period, I put together a list of daily suggestions for your journal, in those 15 minutes you get to yourself.

I usually dedicate a Traveler’s Notebook insert to the month, it has 64 pages so that allows you 2 page spreads of each day with an intro/cover page and summary

Here’s my list for 2025, hope you take some inspiration from it and that you take some time for yourself to enjoy the season in whatever way you like.
